“Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you ” (James 4:8)
Good morning,
Every day that God allows us to wake up is another opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Him. Life moves fast alarms, deadlines, family needs, and unexpected detours. But before the world begins to pull at you, pause. Sit still in His presence. Breathe Him in.
Establishing a relationship with God isn’t just a “Saturday or a Sunday thing” it’s a daily walk. It’s like watering a garden; without care, the soil dries up, and the fruit begins to wither. The same happens to our spirit when we go days without opening His Word or talking to Him through prayer.
Reading the Bible daily is not just a ritual it’s nourishment for your soul. It reminds us who God is, who we are in Him, and what He has promised us. The Bible is God’s voice written down, speaking life, wisdom, and direction into every circumstance.
When you read His Word:
• Your faith is strengthened (Romans 10:17).
• Your mind is renewed (Romans 12:2).
• Your heart finds peace (Philippians 4:7).
• Your purpose becomes clear (Proverbs 3:5–6).
• Your relationship with Him deepens because you begin to hear His heart more than the noise of the world.
It’s not about how many chapters you read but how sincerely you let His Word sink in. Let one verse today be your meditation. Let one promise shape your day.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for waking me up this morning. Thank You for the breath in my lungs and the peace that greets me in this quiet hour. Teach me to seek You first before the world distracts my thoughts. Draw me close as I open Your Word today. Let it speak truth, direction, and healing into my heart. Help me grow in a relationship with You, not out of duty, but out of love. In Jesus’ name, Prayers Lifted in the Mighty Name of Jesus Amen.
